OUR STORY
Focal Point Global was formed to address diverse infrastructural needs and challenges in Africa. Our focus is on using appropriate factors of production, knowledge, capacities, and competence to create scalable solutions transferable across the continent.
While our Pan-African competencies are acknowledged, they have not been fully developed or organized for integral development. Africa's abundant human and capital resources have often been utilized by established economies, but there is ongoing effort to unlock these resources for sustainable development. AI is a key enabler in this process.
Collaboration for Sustainable Growth
Collaboration is key. Practical and focused collaboration with citizens and the populace is needed for transformative, educative, and sustainable development. However, values, principles, and policies must be revised and updated to better align with Pan-African developmental concerns.
This vision stemmed from my experience as Chief Operating Officer for Afcare International Inc. (1995-2000), a franchise of MillerKnoll Inc. in Johannesburg. This role ignited my passion for infrastructure, which led to the establishment of Focal Point Global, grounded in international business experience and managing complex infrastructure projects across Africa.
Managing Principal - Conrad Odhiambo
Conrad Odhiambo is the Managing Principal of Focal Point Global. He is an Accountant from Strathmore Business School with a focus on constant research into sustainable growth opportunities in infrastructure development.
As a Pan-African infrastructure entrepreneur, Conrad has over 30 years of experience in executive operations, financial management, and overseeing local and international companies across diverse infrastructure disciplines. He has pioneered key strategic business successes in Africa and is an expert in intra-Africa partnership development and business integration. His work has unlocked several African opportunities using creative, transformational solutions anchored in best practices, tailored to the unique challenges of the continent.
A strategic visionary, Conrad is adept at navigating diverse challenges, particularly in periods of declining sales and rapid growth. His expertise includes:
